Pediatric oncologist at the Princess Maxima Center, specialized in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She is currently leading a large international trial on infant acute lymphoblastic leukemia of the collaborative Interfant group, the Interfant-21 trial. She is a member of Altogether consortium, and chair of the Special Interest group on infant ALL. In addition, she is involved in development of the next Altogether protocol.
