about SIOP

We are delighted to invite you to the 17th Congress of Asia continental branch of International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP Asia 2025) which will be hosted by the National Center for Child Health and Development from 12-15 April, 2025.
The International Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), was founded in 1969 to study and solve problems associated with children and young adults diagnosed with cancer. It is a worldwide society with over 3,000 members that holds an international general meeting every fall.
Its Asian branch, SIOP Asia, held its first general meeting in Singapore in 2000 and has held its annual meeting since 2014, helping to improve the quality of pediatric cancer care in the Asian region.
SIOP’s goal is to “eliminate the number of children dying from cancer.” With the mission to ensure that children and young adults diagnosed with cancer receive the latest treatment and care, SIOP is engaged in a variety of activities around the world.

As the Chair of the SIOP Local Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 17th Annual SIOP Asia Congress, taking place in Riyadh from April 12-15, 2025. This conference aims to unite experts and practitioners in pediatric oncology, fostering collaboration and shared learning to enhance outcomes for children facing cancer. Our goal is to create a vibrant space for discussion, innovation, and partnership, ultimately driving progress in this critical field.

SIOP, and especially SIOP Asia, plays a vital role in advancing pediatric oncology through its commitment to collaboration and knowledge exchange. The contributions of the SIOP Asia community are invaluable, impacting both regional practices and the global pediatric oncology landscape.

Riyadh, as a city of the future, aligns perfectly with this vision. It is rapidly emerging as a hub for investment and innovation, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to build a vibrant society and a thriving economy.
